With almost 1000 cars making the trip down to Bradenton Motorsports Park this was the largest FixxFest to date. Luckily the rain held off and there were no delays for the drag racing other than the few cars that decided to leave some fluids down the strip! Cars from all over were present with a guy from Colorado being the furthest traveled. 176 cars signed up to drag race and among those were some very fast cars, several running sub 12 second times. Some of the highlights of the show included Chris Green of Unforgettable Sound and Performance racing his mk3 Jetta VR6 turbo and putting down a handful of 10 second passes. Once again this year several of the clubs made huge caravans from all over the states, at one point backing up traffic about a mile down SR64! The winner of the Amateur Tuner Challenge was a 2005 Jetta GLi 1.8T with a big turbo which ran a 12.3 second 1/4 mile. Suncoast Motorsports of Sarasota, the premier dealership in the area was in attendance as a Title Sponsor along with APR which made the trek down from Alabama to represent at the event as a Title Sponsor. The show also included raffle prizes that were given away at the end of the show!  Event t-shirts were being sold for only $15 each sold out at the show.  If you want one and didn't get one click here to place an order for the event shirts as another run of shirts is going to be made.
